ScholarCards is educational software designed as a self-educating motivator for children learning various subjects.

Playing the Software Version of the Game
ScholarCards is played individually or as a team. The student or teacher selects a subject matter to be learnt or reinforced.
The game is played in rounds and the topics are selected from a set of topic cards.
Voice feedback helps students who are auditor learners.
The computer uses artificial intelligence to recognize the answer provided by player.

Three topic cards are presented at a time, each with several facts.
The student is given time to study the facts.
Some cards allow for hyperlinks to details or research material.
Descriptive images may be enlarged to view details.
The computer signals that the study time period is over and
randomly selects a topic that was learnt and hides that card.
The student must then provide information about any fact related to that topic.
The closer the information is to matching the actual fact, the more points the player earns.
Minimum levels of acceptable answers can be enforced.
One natural side effect is that players will reinforce their keyboarding skills,
but the most valuable outcome is that the student has mirrored a learnt fact by typing it.
